As their Head of HW Development you will become part of the Device Development management team holding in-house competence within mechanical-, manufacturing-, production test- & HW engineering - with reference to the Director of Device Development.
Your Opportunity
As Head of HW Development you will lead a team of 11 passionate and skilled engineers in Denmark with focus on concept development & demonstrators, product specification and validation of products according to internal test plans & test protocols. This count for all our customer's product categories like wired & wireless headsets, video communication solutions and USB cameras.
With use of development partners in Asia & Europe the HW team ensures the product design meet our customer's internal standards, legal standards and partner requirements related to the product category.
In corporation with their inhouse production test & SW team the HW development group also ensures that the right test and limits is set for their PCBA test in production & inhouse automation of SW validation before a release.
As new competence focus for the HW development group, our customer has just build image quality test laboratories for subjective and objective testing and you will lead the anchoring and development of this area with use of your team and various stakeholders in the organization.
You will become part of a steadily expanding organization and coach & manage your team to ensure employee development & team spirit supporting their long-term development strategy. You will be responsible to set technology goals within HW Development to ensure they hold best competences to develop and test BT, USB & camera/video devices.
While they have all engineering competences from SW, DSP & Device development under one roof at their headquarters in Copenhagen, they also have two offices in Asia where all their production takes place in collaboration with their strategic production partners. You will collaborate with their partners and ensure that their in-house HW competences are developed for best utilizations of competences in global perspective.
In short, you can picture yourself doing the following
- Lead and develop a team of 11 highly skilled engineers in Denmark.
- End to end responsible for HW development with use of technology- & manufacturing partners located in Europe & Asia.
- Ensure that they hold latest knowledge for key technologies to their product categories utilizing the group organization and technology partners.
- Anchor image quality test to their development flow and in HW Development team
You bring the following qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership skills or experience as lead engineer in a technical team.
- Solid technical background within HW design and concept development
- Have an analytic & structured workstyle.
- Good communication skills in written and oral English.
You might also come with
- Experience with production in Asia.
- Experience with Camera technology
- Experience in using tools like Jira, Confluence, sharepoint etc.
